Preparation
Prior to the beginning of the course, all participants will be able to familiarize themselves with the training course topics and course methodology by accessing the relevant resources and materials, the course structure and tools through this website. The website will act as a hub of cummunication between participants and tutors and it will provide access to a common online workspace where participants will be able to download and upload educational materials. The organisers will provide the participants with most recent and updated educational and information materials in the fields of early years science and creativity education.
The participants will be also asked to complete a series of tasks before attending the training course:
a) read a selection of literature resources on inquiry and creativity in early years science education;
b) bring with them Illustrations of the way they approach planning for science in their class/school – there are no right answers here! This could include for example: frameworks for planning provided by the school, textbooks or commercial schemes or examples of thier own planning for a unit of work or for individual activities. It will be really useful to share with other participants differing requirements and approaches across countries, schools and age phases.
c) Details of one or two examples of a sequence of science activities from their own practice. These will be useful in thinking about possible topics for action research.
